Vision plays a vital role in proper development and learning.  Uncorrected vision problems can affect a child socially, athletically, and most importantly, academically.  It is estimated that approximately 80% of all learning is vision-related.  That is why it is critical to identify eye and vision problems at an early age.  Because of this, the American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends the following schedule for your child's eye exams, even if symptoms are not present:

  • 6-12 months of age
  • 3 years old
  • 5 years old or before entering school
  • School age children: Annually

At Infinity EyeCare, we are Family Focused and dedicated to keeping you and your loved ones seeing their best.  That's why we are proud to participate in InfantSEEĀ®, a national public health program where participating optometrists provide comprehensive infant eye health assessments for children between 6 and 12 months of age at no charge.
